Our Story
We did not begin with a large brand plan or huge investors.
We began with a simple belief.
Finding a lovely, flattering garment should not be difficult—or expensive. 
A group of friends, sisters, and fashion enthusiasts had a frustration: they couldn't locate a business that provided well-designed, elegant, and affordable outfits.
So we created the place.
We called it Donkari, a small brand based in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

Our direct-to-consumer (DTC) method eliminates retail markups and middlemen, resulting in transparent pricing and meaningful design delivered directly to your home.
We only work with trusted, quality-focused manufacturers, and we never sell anything on our website that we would not wear ourselves. 
 Every Donkari dress is the result of careful consideration, cooperation, and intelligent design—from drawing to fabric to last stitch.
